Approach & success factors

At the outset, it was necessary to work with the shareholders and management to define the objectives pursued by establishing the senior advisor role. One of the boost4S partners assumed the role of senior advisor, meeting regularly (twice a month, once in person and once via video call) with the management team.

The first step was to moderate discussions among the shareholders in order to understand their strategic objectives. Once the shareholders had agreed on a growth strategy to maximize the value of the business and to work towards an exit in 5–8 years, the next step was to support the executive management in strategy development. Various scenarios were developed and evaluated. Since revenue growth is an extremely important factor in driving company valuation, an aggressive but endogenous strategy was developed and implemented, including the establishment of another brand and the establishment of subsidiaries in the US, Canada, and Asia, including China and Japan.
